Figuring out your baby is hard. The second you think you have it all down everything changes and throws you for a loop. We have had some sleep issues lately but Cameron and I have always done very well with eating. I nursed him for about 6 months and then headed when I headed back to work I decided to start giving him formula to make things easier for his caretaker as well as for me and him. I talk a little about our nursing journey in this post.
When we made the switch to bottle feeding it seemed as though we searched high and low for bottles that worked for him. We would find a bottle that he liked but the flow was so slow he would get frustrated. Sometimes it would be just the opposite. The flow would be too strong it seemed like he was guzzling down his bottles and almost choking! When we came across Smilo bottles we couldn’t have been happier.
As Cameron has grown, his needs have changed. He has gone from only bottle feeding, to bottle feeding with a few meals, now to eating three meals and 1-3 snacks per day! Cameron loves to eat but he also really loves his bottles. I feel as though there is just something so comforting about relaxing on the couch together and him drinking a bottle. It gives us the extra snuggling time that we both love and need!
Cameron’s Smilo bottles have all of the features we need as he grows bigger and stronger! When you head to the Smilo website, you are able to choose stages for both the bottles and the pacifiers. To help you choose what best fits your baby’s needs, you can check out the Stage Guide to help you deicide. Cameron is currently on stage three since he is 11 months! The Smilo bottle is designed for fuss-free feeding and is anti-colic with its mom-like milk duct. The Smilo Pacifier has a patented, orthodontic shape. With the different stages that Smilo offers, you are able to get the correct side for your baby’s development and it helps prevent cross bites!
Since we are always on the go, one of my favorite features of Smilo bottles is the cap that you can place inside of the bottle. Since Cameron is currently formula fed, I can place a few scoops of his formula inside and fill it up with water when we are ready for a bottle. I also love the pinky grip! As a mom, it seems as though I never have enough hands The bottles have a silicone grip that you can loop one finger into.
