My hair has always been something that I both love and hate at the same time. It use to take me almost a full hour to style my hair because of the wavy course mess! I have tried countless products and finally am happy with a few tools so I thought I would share them with you all today! Another question I often get is how my hair dresser dyes my hair. Just in the past week I had her go back a little darker but I will try to break it down soon! I will break down both the light and the dark coloring but in the meantime here is how I tame my hair!
HOW I TAME MY HAIR
I have found that for me, air drying my hair works best. In the evening I wash my hair, let it air dry for about an hour and then head to sleep. When I wake up in the morning, most of the time my hair is still a little wet and is lacking volume. Sometimes, it also looks like the above picture which is my hair fully air dried. It is kind of a coarse, wavy mess. In order to smooth it out, I will take my Revlon One-Step Volumizier Hair Dryer.
Now I know you have probably seen this tool everywhere and it is because it is honestly life changing! I use to take me so much time to blow dry my hair after a shower and try to smooth it and sometimes it would just end up looking worse! This tool is probably the best hair tool I own, and trust me, I own a lot!
Here is how I use it:
- Section off your hair into a top and bottom section.
- Take your wet brush and brush through your bottom section
- Use the Revlon One-Step Volumizier Hair Dryer by grabbing sections of your hair from the root. Brush it in a downward motion. You can even curl it under to create a fresh from the salon blow out!
To further smooth out my hair, I take my flat iron to the pieces around my face and by my neck. These pieces often curl and I can’t get them with my blow dryer. I will carefully grab each piece and use my flat iron to smooth those out! My favorite flat iron is this GHD one!
To create a soft wave, I use my T3 Single Pass Curler. Again, I section off my hair and wrap my hair around the wand using the clamp. If you would like to see this in action, head to my Instagram and check out my hair highlight! You can see it there! To finish it off, I use a spray of my Moroccan Oil Luminous Hair Spray!
