Well this week has been kind of crazy, huh? Pretty much everyone I know has been thrown for a loop and is either working from home or waiting until they are told to work from home. Who knew that COVID-19 would do this to the community. It is eerie and eyeopening at the same time! I feel well prepared to take care of our family if needed but I wonder if I am missing something. It just goes to show you truly never know! To distract you guys, I thought I would put together an Instagram Q&A type post with the top 10 questions YOU asked. Keep reading to see what you all have been asking and more!
Instagram Q&A: Top 10 questions YOU asked!
1.Where/what do you do for work?
This one is a tricky one, I try to keep it as vague as possible because we have to keep some things private right. I work at a children’s toy company and I feel fortunate to work there! My position is in customer logistics. It is challenging and I feel like I am constantly growing and evolving at the company. I also get to dress very casually which is a wonderful perk. My closet is full of jeans and tees!
2. What does your hair dresser do?
The best way I can describe it is a balyage with a root melt. She will balyage my hair every few visits to lighten the pieces. She does this with bleach and then will use a toner to tone it to the correct color. I like ashy blondes so that is what we try to achieve. My hair pulls a lot of red tones so I have to go every few weeks for a toner at least. For the root melt part she will use two toners, one for my roots and one for the mid to ends of my hair. The roots she keeps close to my natural color to blend my greys. On the ends she will do the lighter ashy blonde tones!
3. Current workout routine and diet
Currently, I am running about 2 miles/day, 5x per week. I do intervals and use the Peloton app to guide me. I will usually do 1 to 1 ratios so 1 minute of a low intensity jog and 1 minute of a high intensity run. I definitely recommend checking out the Peloton app too! For my diet, I follow Kelly LeVeque’s book Be Well by Kelly. In the book she describes a diet that focuses on The Fab Four. The Fab Four focuses on protein, fat, fiber, and greens. I try to incorporate each one of these into every meal I have! Check out her book here too!
4. Where is your ‘CAM’ necklace from?
It is from Ava Hope Designs! She makes the most beautiful customized creations and a portion of her proceeds go to charity too. You can use code QUINN for 20% off too!
5. Where are your favorite places to shop?
Some of my favorite stores include Evereve, Urban Outfitters, Shopbop, Revolve, and Nordstrom. These are my favorites because you can always find a wide variety of clothing! Especially at Shopbop, Revolve, and Nordstrom!
6. Do you want more kids?
YES! God willing, I will be blessed with another child! At least one more!
7. Favorite beauty products?
Currently, I am loving a few things! Boy Brow by Glossier, this Hourglass palette, and this Hourglass bronzer. I have a whole post here where I share my daily beauty routine! A few products have changed so I will be updating that soon! You can shop everything I currently use below!
8. How do you manage your time?
With LOADS of coffee. JK, well kind of! I do drink a lot of coffee to fuel my routine but there is a lot that goes into my time management. I try to multitask as much as I humanly can. I have said this before but for example, I brush my teeth while I make my bed. I also use my support system a lot. I have great support from my family that allows me to accomplish all of the things I need to do in the day. My number one tip is to keep moving! The second I sit down on the couch it is game over!
9. What self tanners do you use?
I use a combination of the above! The Tan-Luxe drops are great to put into you daily moisturizer and have a buildable tan. I love the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi because I apply it right to my face and it gives me a subtle glow! Check out all of the links below!
10. What do you use to style your hair?
This one is definitely a Top 10 questions YOU ask! My life has been changed by the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer. I use this on both my wet and dry hair. It smooths and gives you that fresh from the salon look! I also love my T3 Single Pass curling iron. I use the 1.25 inch one and my curls last for days. For shampoo, I love this one from John Frieda. It is the only purple shampoo that I have seen really give me results! You can check them all out below!
