Over the weekend, Cameron and I spent some time putting together Valentine’s for special people in his life. He has so many wonderful family members, friends, and caretakers that I wanted to send them something special to thank them! Since we have friends and family near and far we will be mailing most of them. Luckily my boy usually obliges to his mommas relentlessness camera. There’s something about the snapping noise that catches his attention and I can always sneak in a few cute photos!
Last week I shared a post on my Instagram with an eye makeup look I created with the new Maybelline Total Temptation Collection. I didn’t think I was going to put together a full post but after receiving so many questions on what I used, I thought I would put together a quick post on what colors I used in the palette and how I applied each of them, plus a little review on the products! As you know, it is hard to go into too much detail on Instagram so I hope you can visit here often to read more when you are interested!
There are a lot of things I love about this colleciton. Some of them being – the ease of purchasing, you can find it at the drug store. The price, the palette is the most expensive item in the collection and being that it is only $9.99 I can’t complain! The pigmentation, the color pay off is amazing, especially the mascara. The scent, it smells like the beach or coconutty! And finally, I love the packaging. The “Millennial Pink” color has to be one of my favorite colors! It certainly caught my eye as I was walking through the store!
So to be honest, this post is slightly out of my element. I love all things beauty – hair, nails, makeup – but it is not often that I dedicate a post to beauty! If you are interested in reading some of my previous beauty posts you can check them out here!
Galentines Day has always been something I have wanted to celebrate. I have had a Valentine for the past 10 years and wouldn’t change it at all but I also love to celebrate my gal pals. The problem with that is my best friends live hours away from me. But when I finally had the chance to plan special day with my Galentine I was so excited and headed to LOFT to pick up some of my favorite pieces and of course something to gift to her! I don’t think Galentine’s Day gifts need to be something big. Just something to show how much you appreciate your best gal pal and her never ending willingness to listen to you, shop with you, and be there when you need her the most! Keep reading to see what we gifted each other and how we celebrated!
Sleep regression was always such a strange thing for me. I read about it and thought about it often. We always slept through the night even when we brought our first puppy home. He slept through the night since day one. Until one day it finally hit us and boy it hit us hard. I had headed back to work full time and things were going great. We slept through the night until one week Cameron was suddenly waking up a few times a night and by a few times a night I mean every two hours. We had no idea where to start or how to make it better. So I did what all moms do, I went straight to Google and Googled anything and everything I could think of. I found sites that offered their tips until I got to certain portions and suddenly had to buy their books and apps that said they would train your babies to sleep but again you had to buy them. I finally gave into one of them, I’ll get into that later.
The holiday rush is over and today I wanted to share a look I purchased to wear to an event a few weeks ago. The event was a local shopping event and I knew I wanted something that I would be able to be comfortable in all day long! Lately, I seem to have an affinity for off the shoulder sweaters. Even one of my good friends mentioned to me that I must have a ton in my closet, which she is correct! I can’t stop purchasing them in any and all colors. I love the look of them and this one which is a fringe off the shoulder sweater has to be one of my favorites!
My buddy and I have conquered a lot this year. We have gone on countless road trips, learned from each other, cried on hard days, and had endless amounts of laughs and snuggles. Today, I wanted to share a post that I worked on late last month that I never got around to. I wanted to share these adorable teddy bear mom & baby jackets that of course I purchased so that we would match! If you are familiar with my posts you know how much I love to match with Cameron. You can see a few of my favorite posts here, here, and here! Also, if you are ever in need of any type of baby inspiration, you can head right to the Baby category right under my recent posts!
