Maybelline Total Temptation Collection

Last week I shared a post on my Instagram with an eye makeup look I created with the new Maybelline Total Temptation Collection. I didn’t think I was going to put together a full post but after receiving so many questions on what I used, I thought I would put together a quick post on what colors I used in the palette and how I applied each of them, plus a little review on the products! As you know, it is hard to go into too much detail on Instagram so I hope you can visit here often to read more when you are interested!

There are a lot of things I love about this colleciton. Some of them being – the ease of purchasing, you can find it at the drug store. The price, the palette is the most expensive item in the collection and being that it is only $9.99 I can’t complain! The pigmentation, the color pay off is amazing, especially the mascara. The scent, it smells like the beach or coconutty! And finally, I love the packaging. The “Millennial Pink” color has to be one of my favorite colors! It certainly caught my eye as I was walking through the store!

So to be honest, this post is slightly out of my element. I love all things beauty – hair, nails, makeup – but it is not often that I dedicate a post to beauty! If you are interested in reading some of my previous  beauty posts you can check them out here!

As I mentioned above, one of my favorite things about this line is the payoff and pigmentation. When shopping for makeup at the drugstore, I often worry that I am not going to find something that gives off as much color as I am looking for. I already have bold eyebrows and lots of lashes but I love to accentuate those two features of mine. The Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara in Blackest Black has instantly become my go to. The brush is thick and creates beautiful full lashes and the color is pigmented and lasts! The other product I am currently loving is the Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil in Medium Brown. To be honest, I never used an eyebrow product until I first started blogging in 2008. I just sort of thought they were good the way they were, until I started watching YouTubers and saw how they used eyebrow products. I have tried many products but I am loving the softly defined look that this pencil gives my eyebrows and of course the brush on the end!

To help with this mini “tutorial”, I have numbered each of the products from the palette that I used. Follow along below for a quick little guide!
After using my normal skin routine and foundation (I can share a post on this) I used the below.
1. Highlight – This golden wheat highlight is a tone that works so well for my skin tone, in fact I think it will work well with any skin tone! I used this on the highest part of my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose and my cupids bow.
2. Blush – This color is a color that can be used as a blush or highlight. Since I wanted to only use the palette, I used this color as a blush. In order to make it a little bolder, I used a heavier hand to give off more color.
3. Eyeshadow base – I used this peachy nude color all over my lids. I used this as a base for the rest of the colors.
4. Eyeshadow crease – I used this color to crease my eyes. The color is a gorgeous matte rosey nude color.
5. Eyeliner color – I love using shadows as liners. Find a small pencil brush and dip it in the color you want to use. I used this along my lash line on the top and under my eyes!
I then filled in my brows with Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil. The small pencil helps to create precision lines and the brush on the end disperses the color evenly. I ended my eye look with Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara in Blackest Black.
I love experimenting with colors on my lips and used the Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace. On my lids I normally go for neutral colors so this palette was the one for me!
