Another snowy day here in New England calls for my favorite post to date! This little plaid dress was a last minute find as I was searching for plaid dress for a friend. I grabbed it immediately for Christmas and saw that luckily there is a shirt version which would look so good with black jeans and cognac boots! Throw on a puffy vest and you are holiday ready!
Last weekend after the snow storm my friend Sasha and I headed to the most beautiful Christmas tree farm I had ever seen. It had rolling hills of Christmas trees and was truly magical. It was chilly but the sun was so bright and beautiful that it actually felt warm on my skin. All of the trees were covered in snow and the sun glistened so perfectly off of them. I even said to her at one point that I didn’t want to leave! We frolicked in the snow, laughed, threw snowballs, slipped and fell, and had the best time! It sort of reminded me of being a kid again. No worries in the world on the most wonderful day of all, a snow day!
My favorite style of dresses has evolved over the past few years. When it comes to something casual that I can throw on for work or to hang out in during the day I search for the ever so comfortable shirt dress. Many shirt dresses come with some sort of waist tie to create some sort of shape to the dress. This one did not but I thought it looks great both ways! In fact, on Monday I wore it to work with my favorite black over the knee boots and tights without the belt.
When it comes to boots for the snow, I swear by one pair and that is my Hunter Rain Boots. In fact this pair of Hunter Rain Boots is currently on sale for 25% off! Click here to check them out. When I purchased my first pair years ago there was no such thing as boot socks. When boot socks came out, Hunter Boots became a life changer for me! I can wear them in the rain and snow and they are just so cute! Plus they come in so many fun colors! I have a pair in purple and black as well!
The first snow is always quite magical but this one just seemed different for me. We brought Cameron out into the snow for the first time and he was just in awe of the falling flakes! I can’t wait until next year to see him play in the snow for the first time!
My favorite part of winter is the chilly snow and warm cozy fires with my husband, dog, and baby. What do you love about winter? Comment below!
